Niaouli Pure Essential Oil

 

 

Species: Melaleuca viridiflora

Origin: Australia / Indonesia

Extraction Process : Steam Distillation

 

Extraction Description : From steam distillation of the leaves and young twigs of the plant. (Usually rectified to remove irritant aldehydes)

Scent Description : Sweet, fresh, camphoraceous odour.

 

 

Niaouli Essential Oil. Belongs to the same family as tea tree and shares some properties. A powerful antiseptic (used in hospitals in France as antiseptic in obstetrics and gynaecology). Cleans minor wounds. (5/6 drops of Niaouli in � pint (250mls) of boiled and cooled water). Can be used for massage. A beneficial oil to use in chest rubs (not late at night as it is stimulating). Can be useful for oily skin and acne.

 

 

Used historically for many of the same purposes as Cajeput and Tea Tree.

Cineol (50-60%), terpineol, pinene, limonene, citrene, terebenthene, valeric ester, butyric ester.

 

 

 

Safety

DILUTE TO 5% OR LESS IN A CARRIER OIL BEFORE SKIN APPLICATION. KEEP OUT OF EYES. DO NOT SWALLOW.
